Payment conditions

Anders Medical Factoring takes care of the debtorsadministration of your dental care specialist. Your healthcare provider uses the payment conditions of Anders Medical Factoring and has transferred the claims he has on you to Anders Medical Factoring which we accepted.

Personal data

For the administration, billing, clearing and collection of the claims the healthcare provider transferred to Anders Medical Factoring we need personal data of the patient. This information is provided by the health care provider to Anders Medical Factoring. This data can also be used by Anders Medical Factoring and its affiliates for the assessment of payment risks, the creditworthiness of patient-debtors, credit management purposes and the prevention and detection of fraud. Anders Medical Factoring and its affiliates can use the data for the development of statistical models for the purpose of segmenting collection portfolios whereby further optimization of the collection result will be achieved.
By agreeing to treatment by the health care provider the patient agrees with the fact that personal data will be provided to Anders Medical Factoring for the purposes mentioned above.

Obviously respect both the caregiver and Anders Medical Factoring as its affiliates the privacy of the patient. Personal data are processed in accordance with the provisions of the Law for the protection of personal information and related legislation.

In general

  1. These payment conditions apply to dental care provided in the practice of a dentist, orthodontist, dental hygienist or other dental care specialists, hereinafter referred to as caregiver. The conditions of payment are a part of the treatment arrangement, and will be made available to the patient before or at the time of this agreement.
  2. In these payment conditions in some cases the patient is also understood as the legal representative of the patient.
  3. The treatment costs are calculated according to the current rate list, as determined by the Dutch care authority (NZa). Equipment costs are charged separately.
  4. If the patient is prohibited for an appointment, the patient should cancel the appointment 24 hours in advance. If the patient doesn’t cancel the appointment in time, the provider may charge the reserved treatment time. This is the case when caregiver at this time can not perform any other billable work. As the time allotted to the patient will be charged by the caregiver this will be a reasonable percentage (0-100) of the amount of the proposed treatment. When the appointment concerned an orthodontic treatment, this amount will in principle be equal to the consultation fee. If a extensive research or placement or removal of equipment was provided, the four-fold of the consultation fee can be charged.
  5. Prior to any extensive and far-reaching and / or orthodontic treatment the patiƫnt will be informed clear and if requested in writing about the treatment (type of treatment, purpose, effects, risks, possible alternatives and prospects), the budgeted fee and the budgeted amount of technical costs. The patient is also advised in case of complications during treatment, exceeding the duration of treatment and / or exceeding the budget with more than 15%, else then as aresult of a mid-term change of rates by the Dutch care authority (NZa). The estimated duration of treatment for orthodontic treatment is only for information. No rights can be derived.
  6. Any questions about the invoice should be addressed by the patient to Anders Medical Factoring within 14 days after the invoice date. For independent advice and education in dentistry, the patient may optionally contact the Dutch Dental Information Point (TIP), telephone: 0900 202 5012 (paid service number).
  7. The treatment costs of a patient under 16 are payable by the legal representative. A patient of 16 or 17 years is responsible for any costs of his treatment in itself, unless the legal representative has confirmed in writing that he shall pay the costs.

Term of payment and measures

  1. Anders Medical Factoring is entitled to, if possible, collect the invoice directly to the health insurance company.
  2. The patient must pay the invoice within 30 days after the invoice date. This term also applies if the patient request the insurance company to pay directly to Anders Medical Factoring.
  3. If the patient has not paid within 30 days after the invoice date, he is in default without the need for further notice is required. From that moment the patient owes an interest ad 0.75% per month or part thereof. The patient will receive a payment reminder.
  4. If the patient has not paid within 14 days after the date of the first reminder, he will receive a second reminder to the principal. From that moment the patient owes an interest ad 0.75% per month.
  5. 12. If the patient has not paid within 14 days after the date of the second reminder, Anders Medical Factoring is entitled to take collection measures or entrust third parties thereto.
  6. All judicial and / or extrajudicial costs, related to the collection of the amounts declared, shall be borne by the patient. The non-legal collection costs have been determined at 15% of the principal (including VAT). If it can be shown that higher costs are incurred, which were reasonably necessary to obtain full payment out of court, these costs must be paid by the patient.
  7. Payment by the patient extends in the first place to reduce the costs, then in decrease of the interest rates and finally to reduce the principal.
  8. In case of payment arrears the caregiver is entitled to suspend further treatment or perform them only against payment by cash, unless the height of the arrears, the need for dental treatment or the urgency is resisted against this.
  9. The payment is not suspended because the patient files a formal complaint about the invoice and / or treatment, unless the provider agrees to suspend the payment obligation.
  10. The payment obligation does not lapse when the patient terminates the treatment agreement or if the patient asks the provider to transmit related treatment information and goods to another care provider.
  11. If any provision of this payment is invalid or voidable, this will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
